My therapy room is situated at the entrance to the private outdoor area. This space allows for an indoor/outdoor feel with full double fold doors that allow the outdoor in.
"Nature acts as a mediator of intensity in the therapeutic relationship and allows the client to be able to feel safe enough with the therapist to begin to form a therapeutic relationship"
"The natural space is used projectively where the inner world is reflected back and encountered in metaphors that directly relate to client experience and can be worked with at a safe distance"
"Nature is seen as a live and dynamic partner in the therapeutic work, a third party in the process of therapy: nature as a co-therapist"
"Both therapist and client are located in a space that is dynamic and unfolding, possessing vital qualities that offer opportunities both for further understanding and for exploration in the therapeutic work"
